Not in anyone's nest.
Most map apps learn where you live, work and sleep. Roadgoose was built so that it can't.
No Google.
Maps, search, routing and navigation run on your phone, from open map data. No Google server ever sees where you drive.
No account. Ever.
Open the app and drive. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to.
Trips stay on your phone.
Your routes, searches, Home and Work and mileage log live on the device. The backup is sealed with a passcode only you know.
Anonymous by design.
Price reports and honks carry a random name that changes daily. Drive totals are published only when at least ten drivers are in them.

Eyes on the eyes
Know where the plate readers are.
Automated license plate readers are going up on corners everywhere. Roadgoose maps them and warns you twice as you approach: once about half a mile out, once right before. It counts how many you passed today, on your phone only.
- A route option that avoids them
- Same alerts on CarPlay and Android Auto
- Drivers can flag a reader that is gone, anonymously
See it before you're in it
Live road cameras, right on your route.
Swipe through the state traffic cameras ahead of you, in order, with how fresh each picture is. Snow on the pass, a wreck at the merge, a clear run home: you see it miles early.
Cameras that are offline or frozen are never shown, so you never get a blank square.
Along the way
Only the stops that are open when you get there.
Gas, food and coffee along your route, checked against their hours at the moment you'd arrive. Nearest first, with the detour in minutes and the price of the fuel your car takes. Tap Add stop and keep driving.
Prices come from drivers like you. Confirm a price at the pump and earn the Reporter badge.
Driver-reported prices are published as open data under CC BY-NC 4.0: station, grade, price, the hour and how many drivers confirmed it. Never anything about who reported. For commercial use, ask data@roadgoose.com.
Fly in a V
Drive as a gaggle.
Road trip, caravan, or just meeting up: send one link and everyone sees each other on the map, gets the same stops, and can honk the group. Locations go phone to phone, end-to-end encrypted. No accounts, no sign-up, and the relay that passes messages along cannot read them.
At the end, a trip recap for the whole flock.
Work mode
The goose puts on a hard hat.
Driving for a delivery app, a rideshare, or your own business? Tap the hard hat and every drive becomes a mileage log entry: addresses, miles and time. Export a CSV or PDF for tax time. The log stays on your phone, in your own encrypted backup.
